Pharmacist

ABOUT  THE  ROLE:

-Competitive hourly pay
-Paid holidays and vacation time
-401k with company match

Schedule:
-2-3 days per week 10 AM - 6 PM (no Sundays).
-Work alternating Saturdays as part of the pharmacist’s schedule (10 AM - 2 PM).
-3 weeks vacation coverage for fellow pharmacist per year.


Expectations of Staff Pharmacist Position:

Customer Service & Professionalism:
-Positive and professional attitude
-Exceptional service, appearance, conduct, and cooperation with customers, associates, and vendors.
-Fulfill customer prescription needs while ensuring the accuracy of every prescription filled.
-Provide patient counseling and pharmaceutical care, including all clinical activities, to promote the safe and effective use of medications.


Regulatory Compliance:
-Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws, including HIPAA, Fraud, Waste, and Abuse regulations.
-Oversee compliance with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy, DEA, Medicare, and Medicaid policies, including audit completions.


Inventory & Operations Management:
-Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper operation of all equipment.
-Responsible for full inventory management, including ordering, drug returns, and drug waste (tasks can be delegated).


Staff Supervision & Development:
-Supervise pharmacy technicians and other staff members to ensure optimal workflow and compliance with operational procedures.
-Assist with the daily operations of the pharmacy, including preparation and dispensing of medications.
-Ensure all staff are properly trained and maintain a positive working environment.


Patient Vaccination/Point of Care Testing:
-Willingness to administer vaccines and point of care test/treat to patients as required.



Required Qualifications:
-Current, active Pharmacist license in Kentucky.
-Experience with e-scripted and written prescriptions, as well as dispensing drugs in a retail pharmacy environment.
-Strong communication skills, with the ability to counsel patients and work effectively with team members.
-Knowledge of pharmacy operations, regulations, and the ability to manage inventory.
-Willingness to work collaboratively.
-Ability to provide vaccinations and perform other clinical services.










Requirements


  • PharmD or Registered Pharmacist

  • Actively Licensed in Kentucky

  • Experience with Pioneer software preferred, but not required

  • Available 2-3 days per week plus alternating Saturdays and a few weeks vacation coverage per year
